Farewell to Danielle

Danielle from work is moving to Melbourne to work from our newly established Melbourne office. Her farewell was very festive and much Sangria was drunk (we were at a Spanish Tapas restaurant.) Working with Danielle has been a real pleasure (she is one of the best designers I have ever had the pleasure to work with) and we will miss her a lot.

A day in the life

Darling harbour on the way to work. Note that Kerry works in the building below to the right.

Our Office - an historic building in the heart of town

Me in the office

My favourite haunt for lunch - Hero Salad where you can customise your own salad. My favourite: mixed leaf lettuce, hot squid, brocoli, mushrooms, spanish onion, pea sprouts, parmesan and walnuts. Yum!!!

Views of buildings outside our office

View of the city on the ferry home. Notice the brooding clouds. Its been a stormy day.

Sunrise from the ferry - you can see our flat in the background

A hard day's work in the digital space

OK, so it's not all hard work. Especially when the camera comes out!

Agency Fusion to Blackglass

Agency Fusion, the company I joined, has now officially been renamed 'Blackglass' after merging with another company (Ixion). We have moved to great new, light and airy offices in the middle of the city. A ten minute train journey from where we live. I have 5 new work mates, all of whom I like a lot. Alistair, Kate Best, Kate Botham, Mark and Danielle.

Large dark glasses are in! Kate (top) and Allison (bottom)

Me with Boden, our 19 year old project manager. He's a fantastic guy - keeps us all young.

Make a quilt online (2007)

I don't often talk about my web projects on this blog but I have just launched one that I am very proud of.

It's name is Fabric Matcher and it allows you to choose fabrics in innovative ways. For example, if you have a photo of your bedroom, you can upload it and it will suggest fabrics that match your colour scheme.

Then you add your fabrics to your pattern of choice to create your virtual quilt. If you like what you have created, you can then purchase all the ingredients online and make the kit at home.

Over 3 months of hard work - hopefully it will be a big success with the quilting market.
