Birding at Standfontein

I got an Uber to Rondevlei but there was no water there. So I got another Uber to Strandfontein Sewerage Works. This is an amazing birding spot with a great number of water birds. I took lots of photos and had a super time. Then, because I was in the park, I had to walk about 10km back to the gate. It was hard work but worth it.

Birds of Iceland

Apart from Puffins, we also saw razorbills, guillemots, fulmars, kittiwakes, eider duck, snow bunting, whimbrel, red-necked pharalope and Eurasian oystercatcher. The highlight was the bird cliffs of Grimsey Island where we saw hundreds of thousands of sea birds. It was an absolute sight to behold!
