Vivid Festival 2023 with Srini

It was packed so I didn't take too many photos. The highlight was the drone show. Absolutely spectacular it was.

Vivid 2022

It was great to enjoy the Vivid Festival in Sydney again this year after a Covid induced two year break.  No more need for tripods, the amazing i phone camera takes great shots hand held!

A lovely drink and dinner afterwards at The Bavarian Cafe

Vivid 2018

I took photos with my iphone this year. Not bad for no tripod!

Vivid 2016

A lovely evening with Sue and Jill, a friend of hers.

The highlight was the Botanical Gardens, with trees lit up to become writhing snakes (to dark to photograph) and the incredible light tunnel.

Vivid Sydney 2015

I celebrated being back in Sydney by doing my annual pilgrimage to The Sydney Vivid Festival with Sue.  It was marvellous as usual, especially The Customs House this year with its celebration of Australian nature and a beautiful, surreal sound track.  There is a video of the display below.

Sue and I also had a wonderful catch up and she treated me to some spaghetti bolognese at a local eatery.

I loved these cute pigs!

The Customs House was the undoubted highlight - a celebration of Australian nature.  Below is a video of the whole show.  Check it out, well worth it!

Vivid 2014 - a riot of colour

Vivid was amazing this year as usual.  I focused more on enjoying the show than taking artistic photos, but here are some snapshots to show just how colourful it all was.  At the bottom is also a couple of videos.  The music was one of the highlights this year, especially at the Customs House.

Thanks to lovely Sue for keeping me company as usual.  Vivid and Sculptures by the Sea simply wouldn't be the same without her.
