Cape Point (Cape Town)

I always love Cape Point.  Not just the coastal scenery and wild coast line, but also the awe inspiring fact that this is where two of the great oceans meet.

Franschhoek (Cape Town)

Franschhoek is special to me as Ally and I came here several times for romantic weekends away.  We used to eat lunch at one of my favourite restaurants in the world, Le Petit Ferme.  Then, when we got married, we came here on our honeymoon.  So many wonderful memories attached to this place.

Table View (Cape Town)

Surely this sublime view must rate as one of the great spectacles on the planet.

Taboggening with the family (Cape Town)

This was a crazy amount of fun.  My most memorable moment was racing down with Sam on brake and her not using said brake a single time.  She was yelling with excitement and me with abject terror.  She knows no fear!!!  Going to be a fast driver one day!

Strandloper Restaurant, Langebaan (Cape Town)

The food here is absolutely delicious; sea food cooked on the braai and in potjie pots right on the beach. Always freshly caught from the ocean.  The only trick is not to get tempted by all the mouthwatering home-made bread they offer at the start so that you have space for the climax of the day, sumptuous lobster for the final course.

Matthew does a 5 km run

Matthew did a 5 km run today with Joanne. Here he is with his medal. What an achievment!

Silvermine (Cape Town)

A lovely walk in one of my favourite spots in Cape Town.
