I'm getting excited about my trip on 28 August. There's been a lot of rain and Mungo and Kinchega Lakes are currently closed but I'm hoping that they will be open again by the time I leave next week. Fingers crossed. There are other things to explore but Mungo in particular is one of the main reasons I wanted to see this area.

Newcastle Birding Research
I'm planning to spend a couple of days birding in Newcastle. I'll hire a car and camp one or two nights. Here is a map I've created with good birding spots.
