Birding at Barton Park

I've discovered a lovely birding spot (Barton Park) only 20 minutes from home.  A very peaceful place.

 

Birding in Newcastle

I spent an idyllic day on my belly in the mud trying to get close enough to waders on the Newcastle mudflats.  Needless to say, I got very dirty indeed but it was well worth it.  Photographing birds requires so much patience, but it can feel so rewarding when you get the shot.
