Nushi's birthday at the park

Shushann's beautiful doggie, Nushi, turned 11 so we celebrated with a get-together at Milson's Park. Lots of throwing and chasing. Nushi still has a lot of energy for an 11 year old!

Xenia joined Chris and I for some table tennis. She's pretty good!  Then Shushann joined us for some lunch at The Alchemist (a local cafe).
 

Chris's 70 birthday

Friends do not come more special than Chris. I'm so blessed to have had him in my life over the past 12 years.  It was wonderful to celebrate his 70th birthday with him.

Shushann's birthday

We celebrated Shushann's birthday at her home. Lots of beautiful food (everyone brought a plate) and lovely to meet her other friends.  One of her friends is a dentist and we learned some fascinating tips on dental care.  Another organises the South African film festival each year in Sydney which I didn't know about. I'll definitely be attending in May next year.

A chance to say another farewell to dear Jilly.  A very peaceful place.

Frenchy's Cafe for lunch

One of my favourite cafes in Sydney. I had Eggs Benedict and Xenia treated us all to dessert (crepe and raspberry tart). All delicious. We went at 11 and ended staying until late in the afternoon. There was also time for a little walk with great views of Middle Harbour.

Visiting Jilly in Bowral

Jilly has been very unwell, in and out of hospital with breathing issues. It was wonderful to see her and express our love.

Reunion with my Sydney friends

A lovely get together at Frenchie's restaurant. I had my usual Goat's Cheese Tartlet and a smoothie. Delicious. So lovely to see everyone after two months in Cape Town.

My favourite alive doggie in the world

 This is Anoush, Shushann's dog. We have a beautiful bond. Every time I see her, she bursts with excitement. She is a real sweetheart.

A beautiful gift

I went out with my hiking friends a couple of nights ago to celebrate Mack's life and they gave me this sublime painting of Mackie. A beautiful gesture that brought tears to my eyes. It was done by the amazing artist Koko Loco. It really captures Mack's indomitable, larger than life spirit and I love it so much. A very precious gift that I will always treasure.
