Camping at Bents Basis

A wonderful camping weekend with the boys. Bents Basin has the biggest water hole in NSW so the swimming was glorious. It rained hard during the night but I was all cosy in my spacious new tent.

Beef pie and truffles at a smart Irish pub in the city. We walked from Central to The Rocks, a walk I always enjoy. It was a stormy night and we got pretty wet at times.

This is one way to stop your T shirt getting wet in the rain!

Gavin has written another book, this time partnering with Dr Mark Williams, a neuroscientist. The book is about limiting the time kids spend on their devices and the dangers of social media for the developing brain. The book is already number one on the book charts!  Our friend Jack, who is a teacher, did a fabulous job of facilitating a talk between Gavin and Mark by asking great questions. After the launch, we all went to the pub to celebrate the milestone.

• Michal's goulash cooked in a potjie pot on the fire.
• Leaping into the ice cold river for refreshing dips.
• Dropping my iphone on a walk and finding it. What a relief!
• Finding a Funnelweb spider under Gavin's tent. The most poisonous spider in Australia. If it bites you, you can be dead in 15 minutes!
