Clifton with Mary-Ann and the family

After a wonderful visit with Russell's dad and Kobus in Sea Point, I walked to Clifton.  I adore Clifton; it epitomises Cape Town and its beauty for me.  I lazed on the beach and walked from 1st beach to 4th beach, enjoying the nubile sights, before the others arrived.  Mary-Ann and I had a very bracing dunk in.  So invigorating!

Volleyball on Camps Bay beach

Brendan and Eva were in Cape Town at the same time as me, so we organised a big game of volleyball on Camps Bay beach.  All the old volleyball crowd came, and Russell and Heather joined us too.  So much fun!!  I impressed everyone with my power serve, great to find out I haven't lost it even after over 10 years of non use.

Party at an apple farm in Elgin

We went to the birthday party of Kaitlin, Richard and Kerry's daughter. It was held on their parent's apple farm. What an absolutely gorgeous setting!  The kids (and adults) had a wonderful time cycling and frolicking in the pool, enjoying the gorgeous weather. Lots of great food too.  All in all, a wonderful day.

Thanks, Jo, for most of the great photos below.

Clifton sundowners

This is Cape Town at its very best. Not even Sydney can compete with Clifton at sunset.  It was lovely to chill out on the beach and see Mary-Anne again.  We had the most gorgeous swim in the bracing water.
