Kirstenbosch will always have a special place in my heart. It's wrapped up with my childhood as we often came here for picnics. This is my favourite place to start climbing Table Mountain (usually via Skeleton Gorge). I also used to live in Fernwood, just a five minute drive away and I even sometimes came to study here under the trees as a university student.
Surely Chapman's Peak must be one of the most impressive and beautiful passes in the world. I never grow tired of driving it and stopping off at all the viewpoints to admire the sea and views of Hout Bay.
I can't believe this is my first time to The Ostrich Farm. Of course, I couldn't resist the temptation to ride one. I found I had to hold on pretty tight!!
This is one of my favourite places on earth. The wild coast with waves battering the rocks. The wonderful suspension bridge across the beautiful Storm's River. The pristine Tsitsikama forest. It's a beautiful and wild place. Not only that, but it's also wrapped up in sublime memories. Memories of coming here with Julian as a student and camping right on the sea. Memories of coming here for a romantic holiday with Ally. Memories of starting The Otter Trail here. If I ever grow tired of life and need to replenish my spirit, this is the place I'd come to.
I have never explored the Robberg Peninsula in Plett before and I was blow away by its beauty. I had the whole place to myself to, didn't see a single soul the whole time. A soul enriching experience.
