3.5 hours out of Sydney and a beautiful, old town. I stayed in a wonderful old monastery called "Shalom." Lived up to its name, very peaceful. Tina loved having us to stay and took us for a great swim in the local dam.

Snake canyoning with the boys
This canyon was the bomb with lots of places you needed to leap into the water to go forwards. The snakes added some extra adrenaline. The brown snakes weren't to scary, it was the large black one in the water that we had to swim past that caused some consternation!

Bowral to visit Jilly
Jilly has been locked up for 6 months. She was so happy to be allowed out. We celebrated with a double dose of ice-cream!

Dinner party with the boys (a bit of a drunken affair)
Oven roasted vegetables and seered tuna. We sent a tipsy message to Jilly who knows all of us and I was visiting the next day.

Victoria Falls (Blue Mountains)
Relatively sedate compared to the canyoning but a beautiful river to walk down to and waterfalls to explore. Mountain and I had the coldest swim of our lives in a rock pool. We screamed like little boys when we leapt in.

Van Gogh digital exhibition
What an incredible exhibition. About 50 giant screens showing Van Goghs art animated with motion. So in Starry, Starry night the water was shimmering and in the landscapes, the clouds were floating past. Plus there was amazing music to add to the ambiance and quotes of Van Gogh to go with the paintings. Ingenious and inspiring. I went with Shushann.
