I persuaded Ally and Kerry to stop off at Lamingston National Park near the NSW / QLD border on the way up. Famous it is for Regent Bowerbird- but the weather was rather awful and they chose to hide away. We had a pleasant walk in the fog (it's a beautiful place with lush green forest and deep valleys) and I got to see my first ever Spotted Pardolote. .

Birding at Bicentennial Park
I had a successful morning of birding at the Sydney Olympic Park. Some of the land has been reclaimed including Belverdere Lake (part of Bicentennial Park). I got to take some nice pictures (see below) and also saw three new bird species: Chestnut Teal, Brown Honeyeater and Red Whiskered Bulbul.
