Here are a few pics of the wonderful Thomas Watson. He has brought so much joy and pleasure to our lives already and he is only 16 days old. He was born on the 9th Oct at 8.21am weighing 3.62kg (8llb). We are starting to settle into family life at home and trying to get him into a routine of feeding at the same times every day. Part of that daily routine includes a walk on Wimbledon Common, we are lucky to have the common so close to where we live. It has been great having Steve around since the birth, he is back at work on Monday so that will be the true test. We already have a few doctors appointments both for me and Tom early next week, so nothing like getting out and about straight away. It's amazing how the days pass so quicky and how they all merge into one another, between feeds and trying to catch up on a bit of sleep, there is not much time for anything else, but it's all wonderfully exhausting!

Ally's gift to baby Lucas
In wonderful Ally style, she has made a beautiful handmade gift for Doug and Claudia's new baby, Lucas. An alphabet of animals, each one is painstakingly painted. Beautiful.

Congratulations Shirley!!
... and welcome to the world to her gorgeous, new little daughter, Keira Shirley Ann. As Dorothy Parker once said, well done Shirley, we knew you had it in you :)
Thanks to Shirly, I now know that Keira is an Irish name after a 17th century Irish saint Ciara - and it means little dark one... It's a gorgeous name - not least because it is shared by my zany, fun loving cousin in Canada.
Can't wait to meet little Keira in person when we come back to Cape Town in April.

Natallie and her little one (Ally)
I spent a wonderful afternoon with Chris and Natalie, being introduced to their new baby daughter, Ella. Ella totally stole the show - she's so tiny and too adorable with her big blue eyes. To my delight, she fell asleep in my arms. Secrety made me broody - but pssst, don't tell Graeme!
