Playing table tennis with Chris

There is a table tennis table under the Harbour Bridge and Chris and I have been making the most of it.  So much fun.

Chris's toastmaster speech on mental illness

Chris did a great job on his speech on such an important topic!  Both Aimee and I were there to watch and support.  I feature in the speech towards the end.

Yogi's birthday

Hi Yogi

Thanks for all the discussions, shared experiences, belly laughs, and invaluable support

Thanks for your priceless friendship.

We’ve solved it again !

G

Hi Yogi

Hopefully you will have received or will shortly receive my birthday gift of 3 books.

I'm not sure if you've got them already on Kindle, but if you do, no worries, you can redeem them for Amazon gift funds that can be used to buy something else.  I can give you a hand with this if you need.

Never tried Amazon gifting before, let's hope it all works :)

Happy birthday,
G

Hi Graeme,

Just got what I thought was it - The Power of Now - & it loaded effortlessly & perfectly into my PC Kindle.  Fabulous.

About to email thanks -  & got the other two.  Just fantastic.  A great present mate - & it will be SO useful in our projects.  Just perfect.  Thank you so much!.

Cheers Yogi OOO

Les Quatre Mousquetaires  (avec our official mascot, Big Mac),

We've done it again!  We're a legend in our own time - 4 months in a row now.

Thank you comrades for the day & your beautiful messages. Mac's is a very wise, if cryptic - "Woof, woof, woof, woof, woof".  It's obviously a double entendre - He's telling me I repeat often myself & also, just to speak my own truth.  Eckhart would love it.

I am overjoyed - & over whelmed - & overfed!  And it's not over yet. Move over Porthos!

Wonderful photos again Graeme - thank you.

And to our official scribe Aimee, thank you for such a superb lifetime memento of our mighty band

Four (& a half) cheers!!!
Yogi OXO

Thank you dear Musketeers for making my birthday so special.

Thank you for a delicious lunch at The Bot; great company, great conversation and great food. The Holy Trinity.

Thank you dear Aimee for your beautiful card and beautiful words.  You're so creative with your cards; a real art.  Thank you also for the lovely plant and precious stone; now basking in the evening sun with my others plants.

Thank you Chris for your beautiful plants too. They're in good company too.

Thank you Yogi for your "cheque in the mail."  Got me intrigued.  I'm going to tickle Srini till he gives up your question to him !!

Heavy metal evening with Yogi and Chris

Hi all

I don't remember going to the "Grab a Granny" disco !!  Must be because I drank so much. Ginger-beer will do that to you.  Sugar high amnesia.

Ha, ha Yogi, I also woke up with the 18+ band on my wrist!  And also a wad of toilet paper in my left ear.  We wore makeshift earplugs to cushion the noise.  Yogi's ones from the chemist were so effective we had to tap him on the shoulder when the music was over so he knew to clap!!

The heavy metal was surprisingly good. Intensely alive; full of energy.  And not over the top. No one smashed their guitar on stage or bit the head off a bat.  Much to my disappointment.

Getting high on Nutmeg

We heard from Chris that in his youth he and his friends got high on Nutmeg !!  Sharon did some research to validate.

Nutmeg, that piquant brown spice you sprinkle on egg nog, is chock full o' the organic compound myristicin. Eating four to eight teaspoons of ground nutmeg causes mild hallucinations, warmth in the limbs, dizziness, nausea, cottonmouth, paranoia, difficulty urinating and, the coup de grace, a hangover that feels like God taking a dump on your soul.

Some users compare the nutmeg "high" to a hellish case of the flu. To make things worse, nutmeg consumption is easily the most inconvenient way to get high--its effects kick in five to six hours after ingestion. That's like having to drink a six-pack at lunch in anticipation of happy hour.

For those of you who who want to push your luck with nutmeg, don't worry. The FDA reportedly has no plans to raid your spice rack. Probably because they're assuming nobody is dumb enough to give it a go.

*!*!*!* Hears to you Chris - who has lived to tell the tale....   perhaps you could turn this experience into a Toastmasters talk?
