I love Quentin Tarantino because his films are completely distinctive—bold, unpredictable, darkly funny and bursting with cinematic energy. He has an extraordinary gift for dialogue, turning even an ordinary conversation into something tense, entertaining and unforgettable. I love the way he plays with structure, builds suspense and then suddenly takes a story somewhere completely unexpected. His deep love of cinema is evident in every frame, from the music and performances to the references to older films and genres. Whether it is Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds or Django Unchained, his films are daring, stylish and endlessly entertaining, and there is simply nobody else who makes movies quite like Tarantino.
