I've never had a good sense of direction (always relying on Ally for directions) and I find reading road maps really cumbersome, especially on the road. So this GPS device to use in my car is groundbreaking. It makes driving to new places so much less stress free. I just love technology!
What I used before this
Using a mapbook was less about navigation and more about performing a high-stakes origami routine while traveling at 80 km/h. There was always that one devastating moment where your route hit the very edge of Page 42, forcing you to flip frantically to Page 107, only to realize the road didn't align because the spiral binding had swallowed a crucial three-mile radius of reality.
