How to Tame Your Dragon

I watched the live-action movie How to Train Your Dragon at the cinema, which is a remake of the 2010 animated classic. The film tells the story of Hiccup, a young Viking who lives in a village that hunts dragons. Everything changes when he injures a rare Night Fury and, instead of killing it, chooses to befriend and train it. This decision challenges the beliefs of his people and sets off a journey of understanding, courage, and transformation. The live-action version closely follows the plot of the original and features stunning visual effects that bring the dragons and Viking world to life. As a fan of the animated trilogy, I appreciated how faithful the remake was while adding a new layer of realism.

Young Woman and the Sea - what a movie!

I just watched Young Woman and the Sea (2024), and found Gertrude Ederle’s story incredibly inspiring. As the first woman to swim across the English Channel in 1926, she didn’t just complete the grueling 21-mile journey—she shattered expectations. Battling strong currents and freezing waters, Ederle finished the swim in 14 hours and 34 minutes, beating the existing men’s record by nearly two hours. At just 20 years old, she proved not only that a woman could do it, but that she could do it better, making her a trailblazer in both sport and history.

A wonderful movie, highly recommended, about a call girl who falls for a Russian Oligarch.

Watching "The Substance" in Newtown

I went to the Newtown Dendy to watch the movie "The Substance".  An absolutely incredible movie!  Afterwards, I took some snaps. I love Newtown.  It is a vibrant and eclectic suburb in Sydney, known for its bohemian atmosphere, street art, and lively cultural scene.
