Banff Mountain Film Festival

Always a fun night out with lots of inspiring and often heart-warming movies to be enjoyed. This year was no exception.

Movies watched

• Turkish skier
• Paragliding chaos
• Blind hiker and climber
• Attempts at the deepest and longest caves in Canada
• Going down rapids on the support boat
• Wing suit jumping in the Himalayas
• Tandem skiing the Birkie

Abseiling in Serendipity Canyon, Mount Wilson

Srini taught us to abseil in one of the Blue Mountain's more extreme canyons. I was a lot less scared than I thought I would be, though there were a couple of uneasy moments when I relied on the others to tell me where to put my footing. All in all, it was a wonderful adventure.

 A fun evening. I watched until cajoled to play, and then almost beat Srini. I'm not quite as bad at pool as I remember!

After the pool, we went to the local Asia quarter for ice cream including Red Bean and Matcha flavour. So amazing.
