Photographing Gymnogene

I've wanted to get photos of Gymnogene (also known as The African harrier-hawk) for years now.  Russell has had one living near him in Constantia but I never lucked out. Until now!  Heather took me to a beautiful stretch of park-land and manifested a stunning creature that posed beautifully for photos. I was in ecstacy!

Bo-Kaap

This really is the most photographic suburb imaginable. A veritable riot of colour and full of culture and personality. I had great fun exploring and stopped off for a samosa and koeksister on the way.
