We stopped at all 3 farm stalls on the way with a boerewors roll at the 1st, a glorious dip in the pool at the 2nd and a refreshing drink at the 3rd. Then onto the tyre munching road. We missed the turnoff to the pass so ended up doing all 90 km of it. Countless marooned 4x4's along the way changing tyres and tyre carcasses dotting the side of the road. Our saving grace is that we did the whole road at 30 km an hour. Even at that speed, it was extraordinarily bumpy. We were thrilled when we eventually hit tar. We stopped off for a celebratory wimpy burger. We left Afrikaburn at midday and only arrived back at 9pm!
